1. Battery Basic Specifications and Parameters

2. The Role of the Battery in the Hybrid System
This battery is not a starter battery, but rather the “energy depot” of the hybrid system, playing three key roles:
- Energy Storage and Supply: It recovers and stores the kinetic energy wasted during braking and coasting (converted into electrical energy by the electric motor), as well as excess electrical energy generated by the engine during normal driving. The stored electrical energy will drive the electric motor when needed, providing power to the wheels.
- Pure Electric Drive: During start-up and low-to-medium speed driving, the vehicle can be driven entirely by electricity. If the battery is fully charged, the RX400h can travel over 10 kilometers in pure electric mode.
- Assisted Acceleration and Performance Enhancement: When rapid acceleration or greater power is needed, the battery and engine work together to drive the vehicle. This collaborative operation allows the RX400h to achieve a combined output of 268 horsepower (approximately 272 hp), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.
